My name is Andrew Ryan, I am an avid rock climber, trail runner, traveler, and now, bikepacker, from the United States. Adventure and exercise are my two greatest passions. My professional and academic background is in banking and finance. After a few years in the white collar industry, I decided to temporarily trade comfortable paychecks and professional experience for a once in a lifetime journey. At the ripe old age of 24, by no means have I earned this sabbatical, however I woke up and decided to do this before I am restricted by inevitable future obligations (e.g. debt, relationships, work, children). Starting in April of 2026, I will bikepack across the world and traverse the vast landscapes of Europe, Asia, Oceania, South America, Central America, and, hopefully, finish back home in the United States. I will document my journey through chronological articles dedicated to each country I have the privilege of visiting.
